Aubie Implicated in Cam Newton Scandal

It's about to break nationwide, but Aubie (America's Least Threating Mascot), is now at the center of a new Cam Newton scandal. Apparently, this is new a side of Aubie than we've previously seen.

A rash of laptops have gone missing on Auburn's campus over the past several weeks during football games, and this picture nabbed last week proves of Aubie's involvement:

This is a saddening development for what has been an upstanding, but lame, mascot. Cam Newton's actions are now dragging others down with him.

Apparently, Aubie's also been keeping up with all of the media's coverage of Cam Newton Scandal:

But this is what Aubie apparently thought of the media's reports on Cam:

Now that he's been implicated in the Cam Newton affairs, this cat's in for a rude awakening.

Aubie As A Turkey: True Story Of The SEC's Most Versatile Mascot

In the midst of a email chain between several of us Dawgs and AUMaverick, Earl reminded me of this post from last year detailing the many faces of Aubie.

It reminded me how Aubie out did himself last year by dressing up as a turkey.

Luckily, we sat 5 rows from the field in the Auburn section, so I got some great pictures of it.

I did a post on it last year too, but figured it was worth posting again:

When you see Aubie on Saturday, remember that he isn't threatening.

That is, unless you are going up against him in a job interview or an a game show obstacle course. His experience and skills are unmatched.

Aubie Does It Again

If you were at the Auburn game this past weekend, no doubt you saw Aubie acting his usual goofy self. I highlighted his versatility as a mascot in this post.

Well, here is Turkey Aubie (I took this photo myself, so I can vouch for its authenticity):

The Many Faces of Aubie

Aubie is probably the most goofy and lamest mascot, ever. He is almost as cartoonish as Sparky from Arizona State (who was drawn by a Disney artist).

However, Aubie deserves a category of his own. Not only is he one of the least threatening tigers you will ever meet, but he is remarkably versatile. I'll let the following pictures speak for themselves.

Aubie as Santa Claus

Aubie on a bike with Joe Pesci hair

Aubie winning trophies at the mascot karate championships

Aubie at the disco

Aubie trying to get some tail on the field

Aubie flying planes and serving our country

Aubie riding a bike (again) into your grandmother's bushes

Aubie feeding horses on the farm

Aubie baby-sitting kids at the park

Aubie posing for the cover of Playgirl

Aubie giving signals to the basketball team

Aubie auditioning to become Hugh Hefner

Kudos to you, Aubie. You are a hard working mascot. James Brown would be proud, except he was a Dawgs fan. You lose, again.
