Dear Moronic Douchebag Sitting 3 Rows Behind Me

Dear Master Douchebag,

Take off your Uga VI polo shirt and UGA hat. You don't deserve to wear that when you boo every player you don't like during the first half, and then proceed to boo our entire team as they run into the locker room at halftime.

I wanted to jump up there and grab you by your lame ass goatee and slam your face into your seat. I would have also been content to kick you down 35 rows of stairs.

I didn't, though, because you were the only one that was booing. You were a lone moron in a sea of sanity, and it was better to not acknowledge your actions as even somewhat legitimate. The fact that your friends didn't even join in shows the pathetic nature under which you carry yourself.

I wondered where you were during the second half. I thought you left since a chorus of boos was not raining down from your ugly mug. However, you did not leave. Instead, you weren't booing. Not once in the second half did you manage to boo. Apparently, you're not one to boo a team when they're coming back and winning. In fact, you were high fiving all of your friends at the end of the game. How convenient for an asshole like you.

Fairweather doesn't even begin to describe you and the manner in which you can swing your loyalty to this team from absolute abandonment to complete support. It's awful having people like you consider themselves Georgia fans and present an image of absolute stupidity to everyone around them.

Amen, Amen, Amen. Those guys are the ones on the messages boards such as the AJC who i do NOT consider real fans. I am 100% with you on this one. Take the shirt and hat back, and give that guy some orange.

Preach on. If you cannot discuss (semi-intelligently) the problems you have with the play, coaching or effort of the team, yet can only show up to boo them when they are down, get out. Serioiusly, just go to the Dawg Vent and be done with it. Stay away from the games. There are hungry kids in Illinois that would LOVE to be there.

1000% agree! Wish I lived a lot less than 9 hours (car drive) away from Athens. Sanford needs to be filled with true Dawgs fans who love this team and these kids. 'Fn-good-for-nuthins' that think they could coach/play/carry-water better make me sick. Buddy, your time, if you ever had one, is over. Get behind the team or stay home; you, and all like you, are a cancer plaguing the rest of us.

I would have gladly paid your legal bills if you had opened a can on that guy. I almost got in a fight with a douche like this during the South Carolina game. If he hadn't been 20+ years older than me I wouldn't have had as much restraint. At least I feel I had some part in he and his family leaving at half time to drive back to Valdosta.

You need to read my comments on dawgpost. I have a defense for booing. Progressive liberals may try to take away my rights and freedoms but a guy name 'bubba' with a blog WILL NOT. I pay just as much for tickets as you and if I want to boo a play, I will. Doesn't mean i'm not a true fan. Why should you be the one who defines what a true fan is? I expect hard work and strive for excellence and expect the same from the teams I support. In the first QTR the product I paid for was bad and I voiced an opinion (from home - not the guy you are referencing, just a guy tired of you "righteous bloggers"). I also cheered loudly when the product was good. You can grade your kids papers with purple ink because red ink hurts their feelings, I'll raise my kids to have a solid foundation and to not cry because a person called them a name or booed them. Grow up ... thanks - Kevin

"I expect hard work and strive for excellence and expect the same from the teams I support"

When you sit in the stands and "boo" I would classify that as unsupportive...
Why go to the game if you are going to sit there and complain?

The booing has nothing to do with foundation. Don't try to coorilate a football team with your children.

And finally, you are right, you did pay for the ticket to whatever game you went to. Good for you big boy!! All that is being expressed is that we wish you would sit at home with your kids and boo as a family in private.

BulldawgJosh said...

Dawg Stephen, Exile, Simple, and leonard, thanks for being supporters. If I had the power, every child in Illinois would replace the booers.

Kevin-I'm stoked I've made it to the "righteous blogger" level. I feel like I've made it now. I will work hard everyday to take away your rights and freedoms.

I have no interest in taking the time to go read your posts. If you want, feel free to lay out your argument in the comments here.

However, you should realize that 1)my name isn't Bubba, and 2) if you are one that promotes booing, your couch at home is exactly where you need to stay.

Sounds like Anon is also the kind of guy who will boo his own kid at little league, even though the kid is 6 and its his first game.

Come on guys, let's all say it together now, "Its just a game." I know we're all passionate about our teams, and we can get caught up in the moment. But let's remember, these are still young men, going to school and playing football on the side (or at least that's what it should be). So calm down, take a breath, and remember, its not WWII. If your team is losing, there are still more games to be played.

That being said, if you want to BOOO from the comfort of your living room, fine. Heck, if you want to do it a pro game where they're paid to be good, sure. But don't sit there and booo your team when you've never taken a snap outside of flag football, didn't attend the school, and can't be patient enough to let them improve.

I like booing the home team, simply because it's all fans have to hold the team accountable. If a guy gets a personal foul what do you think the coaches are doing? Saying sweet nothings in their ear?No, they're ripping them a new one in all their anger! You are why Sanford stadium has always been an easy environment for visiting teams to play in. Georgia fans have never shown much passion in Sanford stadium and I guess they never will. Having an attitude like that is great for little league, but this is big boy football. I think booing the home team constantly reminds the players and coaches that what they are doing isn't good enough. Until guys like you figure that out UGA will always be a mediocre college football program. UGA is like a "C" student that never gets criticism from their parents, just floating through life. Mediocrity should always be challenged and booing is all we have as fans. So keep cheering when Tech embarrasses this coaching staff in a couple of weeks and exposes all of our problems like undisciplined players, assistant coaches that cannot make in game adjustments and no accountability from people like you.

Paul said...

Booing isn't all you have, anon. You can vote with your dollars. You paid good money for the seats. If you are displeased with the "product," don't buy it.

You're obviously of a right-ish persuasion, so the market solution should be the one you prefer, right?

Paul said...

Also, Josh, it appears that you have plenty of room could you scoot down a bit. I feel like an a-hole pressed up against the d-bag anons on your site.

alex gibbs said...

Well put there Josh. I feel the same sentiments to half the people around me...especially the guy that threw his bottled coke (and hit a handicap fan) at the team when he got pissed before the half. Thankfully everyone ratted that asshole out and the GBI escorted him to his second row seat in the back of a squad car.

Streit said...

To Anon,

You fail to realize the importance of crowd support to recruiting. This game was bigger than just a win or a loss, it was more about the future of the program. Every big time recruit comes out of high school thinking they are the player that will make a difference to the school they commit to. When they make a visit, a victory may help sway their decision, but not to the level that a good showing from the crowd will. There is a reason that some of the big name recruits at the game on Saturday came out with a great impression of UGA and it definitely wasn't from a 7 point victory over a middle of the road Auburn team. It was the support the fans had for Bacarri Rambo and the energy in the building on the final two plays. If you fail to understand that, then you are simply wearing blinders.

Ally said...

If you watched Baccarri Rambo fall to the groud, arm stiff, and lay motionless for 12 minutes and still have the audacity to claim your "right" to boo players then you are a hopeless, worthless, ignorant moron. YOU DON"T EFFING BOO PLAYERS EVER!!! They put their bodies on the line on every play-whether you see it, believe it, or not.

I'm sorry that this concept so basic to those of us w/ an ounce of decency & decorum is such a foreign concept to you. More importantly, i'm embarrassed FOR you. Evidently you'll never understand what it means to support a team, much less be a part of one.

Last time i checked the price of admission for season tickets does not include the right to trash college kids PLAYING A GAME and ruin everyone else's time. Finally, if anyone has the gall to boo ANY of our players this Saturday, Senior Day, i hope to God you get your lazy, good for nothin', loud mouth, redneck ass drop-kicked right outta Sanford. You deserve it.

Rex Robinson said...

Obviously, I agree wholeheartedly, Bubba. lol. I have never booed a player or coach. Do you think that they don't realize it was a bad play or call or game before you started booing? A fan that boos cares more about saving face on Monday morning than truly supporting his team. Expecting the team to cash a check he himself wrote. Anon is correct that it is an important life lesson for his children to know that there are mean-spirited, irrational douchebags in the world. As if they didn't already know.

Oledawg said...

MDB also probably blogs on the anti-UGA blogs found on the UGA page of the AJC. These idiots fail to understand what a fan is and I have invited them to head for the dictionary. Many similar "fans" haven't attended UGA and don't understand the concept of school loyalty tied to our teams. You don't have to attend in order to be a good fan, it's just that these fairweather yahoos tend to be devoid of graces emphasized by our school. They don't respect our team, themselves or other fans in their presence. Didn't anyone consider accidentally spilling drinks on him in moments of excitement or writing "moronic douchebag" on a piece of paper and stick it to his back? Next time carry tape, pen and paper for such emergencies. List their seat numbers under MDB and post on the jumbotron at halftime. All the students could be in on it(and they would have the courage and connections to do it).

Kevin here ... so a boo in disagreement for a second is not allowed and I need to stay home.. yet the same 20 and 30 somethings who sneak alcohol in and come in drunk and obnoxious and cuss in front of children as they say great fing hit Curran ...that's fine I guess because they are cheering. A short boo because of a bad play call is not bad. Plus to quote some of you "all of you douche bags" say you never boo a player... no sh*t Einsteins ..... when the team goes 3 and out and you boo because of bad play calling by Bobo ..well what do you know, Bobo isn't a player.... Actually I wouldn't boo my child during little league ..... when he came up to me afterwards and said dad I didn't hustle like I should have I'll tell him to just work hard next time and give everything he has.. and he'll say those people who were frustrated, I feel their frustration I didn't like my effort to.... but to each his own ....

j.leonardjr said...

Anon 10:21 booing has nothing to do with creating a tough environment for the visiting team. Booing the home team actually helps the visiting team not to mention the damage it does to recruiting. The toughest environments in football aren't tough for the visiting team because the home fans boo their own players. They are tough to play in because they are loud in SUPPORT of the home team EVEN in bad situations that may arise during a game. What happens at LSU, Auburn, Nebraska and other tough environments when their teams have their backs against the wall? The place gets louder to help the home team turn the momentum back in their favor.

Paul said...

Kevin, you missed the whole point. "A boo for a second" isn't what's raised Josh's ire. It's the voluminous, persistent, deep-throated BOO directed at who knows what since nobody save the boo-er (or bore?) knows. I appreciate that you're definitely starting to realize that booing is hardly supportive of the team since your boos are "just for a second."

And I also like that you're trying to change the subject to drinking and cussing. I take my tipple before the game and I've been known to drop an f-bomb or two, but I'm not the guy you're thinking about. I realize my mistake, I try to be better or, "work harder" in the good old fashioned American values since. I agree that those folks who are consistent and persistent ought to take their boorish behavior somewhere else.

Anonymous said...

Kevin here

Hey Paul ... my boo is spontaneous ... its more of a boo, come on call a good play ...or boo, catch the ball it hit you in the hands .... also, the argument for 'they are just kids and should not be booed' well isn't Tebow and Spikes "just kids"? Do you boo the opposing players? What about when the visiting team runs out of the locker room before the game and the crowd boos them? Aren't they just kids as well? Its okay to boo opposing kids, just not our kids? Seems a little bit like hypocrisy. That's for the "they're just kids argument" .... If someone says I never boo my team ...that's fine, its admirable but if someone else wants to express their disappointment - reacting in the moment (ala A Dropped Pass) then they should be able to do so.

Anonymous said...

jleonardjr, my point was this: i was merely trying to show that booing and passion go hand in hand at a football game. showing indifference when the home team is making dumb penalties and the coaching staff is making questionable calls is beyond me!The crowd that boos the loudest is always the crowd that cheers the loudest like the LSUs and Nebraskas of the world. They are tough on their teams and passionate because they care. Go to a Philadelphia Eagles game. Those are some good tough fans that give out tough love. This is football damn it! Ya'll sound like an Oprah Winfrey audience, lol! Lets not hurt the recruit's feelings or the coaches feelings. Give me a break. I played football and believe me, go to a practice and check out what goes on, lol!Football is a tough sport for tough people! If you want to be prim and proper go to a tennis match Nancy.

Kevin again

Guys (and girls) I'm not looking to just come on here and start something. As a person who studies history and is a die-hard supporter of the Constitution and freedoms .. my point is when people put down others for booing.... I have NO PROBLEM is someone says I would never boo my team, I don't think it helps but if someone wants too then that's there business, I just don't think it helps .... but know, a person who boos doesn't get that luxury from 'bubba' , no bubba calls someone he doesn't know a moronic douchebag -- yet a boo(er) is called immature yet a blogger calling a stranger a moronic douchebag for voicing his opinion even if 'bubba' disagrees with that opinion 'bubba' isn't the immature "name-caller" he's the voice of reason against that mean ol' boo(er) ,... that's what I take issue with.

Sorry about my posts earlier. I was really drunk. When I drink during the day I get really argumentative.

Stuart said...

I booed Bryan Evans after he screamed at Bacarri Rambo for mistaking the Coverage scheme on Auburn's second touchdown. That's extremely poor leadership and not how Bulldogs should act on the field. He was close enough to me that I let him know how I felt. Bryan should be teaching the younger players instead of throwing his hands up in disgust. The bigger problem is if you think that isn't worth booing.

The 31st Floor said...

Two quick points, one, I have no problem with people booing the personal foul penalty on Montez Robinson. He clearly made an idiotic play that was unsportsmanlike and flat out dirty.

Second, I have no problem booing Bryan Evans because he's horrible and shouldn't ever be seeing the field unless its on a kick coverage team. If he's the best option on the field then Martinez is worst than I thought.

Astronaut Mike Dexter said...

"Go to a Philadelphia Eagles game. Those are some good tough fans that give out tough love."

They also booed Santa Claus, have been known to throw snowballs packed with batteries at people on the sidelines, and cheered lustily when Michael Irvin was carted off the field at Veterans Stadium with a spinal-cord injury. (Not that I have any use for Michael Irvin, but jeez.)

There's a fine line between "passion" and sheer pointless obnoxiousness, and that crosses it. If Iggles fans are the kind of people you think the Sanford Stadium crowd should aspire to be, then go cheer for the Iggles (or Ohio State), but we don't need your kind of attitude in Athens.

BulldawgJosh said...

Kevin/Anon,

So your problem is that the rest of, particularly me, do not respect the booing community and that I call those that boo, douchebags?

In many cases I could agree that differences of opinions should be repsected.

However, sometimes people are wrong. And when people are blatantly wrong, there is nothing wrong with saying that such people (in this case people who boo their own team), are wrong.

You're right, those that boo their own team are not going to be respected by me, and they do not deserve it.

j.leonardjr said...

Anon 11/17 5:10 If you are citing Eagles fans as a model to follow then I really don't know what to say to you because we are in two different stratospheres as to what constitutes a great crowd.

I agree Sanford Stadium crowds aren't as loud and passionate as they should be in helping the team. I yell at people around me to get up and make noise all the time resulting in glares of annoyance quite often. I agree Sanford Stadium should be more intimidating to play in for the visitors.

Bottom line is you can have passion and be loud without booing though. I seriously doubt you have ever been to a game in Lincoln, Nebraska. They don't even boo the visiting team when it is a hated rival. They actually applaud the visiting players at games end when it was a good game with valiant efforts displayed against their defeated Corn Huskers.

Stop booing, enjoy the game (win or lose) and enjoy the great things around you that I have provided...like the beautiful day, the campus, and the lovely ladies. Thus endeth the word from, well, me.

Kevin here...Look...like I said earlier...if I have whiskey before lunch I'll argue about anything...then again that's why i defend booing so much...it lets me voice my dissatisfaction without having to remember my reasons for it...another thing i don't like is punctuation...seriously you righteous bloggers must think a lot of your opinions if you're going to break them up into coherent thoughts...oh hell get this keyboard away from me I'm at it again...I have a problem.

God here again,

Kevin, you do have a problem and its called alcoholism. Seek solace and comfort in me my child, and seek help from a counselor for your addiction. While I do not condemn those who partake in the fruits of the vine, those who partake in said fruit before noon to the point of argument are in need help. Go forth and cast out your demons, and look back not in anger, but in revelation of the past life you will leave behind.

So endeth the lesson from, well, me again.

Unfortunately,Rambothought you were booing him for missing the assignment. And when you were booing Bobo after the 2nd series,Washaun Ealey thought youwere booing him. And when you booed Martinez afterAuburn's 2nd touchdown, Jeff Luc decided he didn't wan't to play somewhere that the fans started booing in the 1st quarter.

Not that I agree with those in favor of booing, because I think it sucks, but if Luc does base his decision on something like whether the fans boo their own team, at least we won't have to worry about him going to Florida.

People that would boo at a college game are not fans. I don't care how much money you put down. It is just a game, and to me, the most important thing is that all of these kids get a good education and graduate.
I have been a Dawg fan for over 40 years. I love this team win or lose. I always have and I always will.
And these jerkoffs who get on the UGA blogs on AJC to trash the school, seriously need to get a life.
