Don't Overlook New Parking Restrictions For Gameday

I will have more to say on the new tailgating ban (not that you probably care).

However, everyone seems to be skipping over the new parking restrictions the university is implementing:

General Parking

The following changes will apply to all parking areas on gameday:

  • No pull-behind items (trailers, cookers, etc.)
  • No golf carts or ATVs
  • No parking on sidewalks (expanded to include Carlton St.)

Additionally, the ban on setting up tailgates (tents, tables, etc.) in parking spaces will be reemphasized, to include those areas controlled by the Athletic Association.

You notice that first one? Looks like all of you that invest so much money in awesome trailers and cookers are also being squeezed out by the new policies. It's completely ludicrous, and it's a slap in the face to those of our fans that spends thousands on these items, act responsibly on gameday, and add greatly to the tailgating experience at UGA.

Death to tailgating by incrementalism.

It is sad, clearly Adams is showing his total disdane for all things football. It has been my experience that those who bring the most, trailers, grills, etc are generally the best at cleaning up after themselves. I don't know which football player(s) did his gf back in college and high school but get over it already. Find a way to root out those responsible, do not try to ruin it for everyone.

Keep in mind that this is in some way in cahoots with the Athletic Assn, who are in charge of parking spots.

Central portions of campus are losing a ton of football parking spots this year (and for good) due to construction. Hull Street lot is completely gone.

Those people with big trailers take up a lot of space in the AA controlled lots, so by getting rid of them, they make sure they have enough spots in the lots they still have.

It is not just MFA to blame for this.

This is crazy. I am so upset with what's going on with all these tailgating restrictions. Shoot I don't even have a trailer, tent, cooker or anything of that nature. I love seeing the insane dedication these fans have for their Dawgs, in hopes that one day I'll be on their level.

How the hell can the state of Mississippi handle tailgating in the Grove but the state of Georgia can't. As Seth Myers says, "Really Mike Adams?? Really?!?"
