With AJ Green’s career in red and black now over, we can take a look back at his career in a historical context. When diving into the Georgia record book, it is clear to see that AJ Green could have easily become the most decorated receiver in Georgia history. But some nagging injuries and the suspension last fall caused him to miss 7 full games over the last two seasons. The career of AJ Green will be remembered as brilliant but also as “what could have been”.

AJ certainly could've been #1 in all of those categories had he not missed 7 games. He's would've only need an average of 5.5 receptions in those games to pass Edwards. He also only would've needed to average about 68 yards per game to take that category over as well. One TD catch per game would've tied Edwards there.
Just wanted to let you guys know I am loving the countdown this year. Really great stuff every single day so far, and I can't wait to see what else you guys have planned!
GO DAWGS!!
He would have moved up the charts with those extra seven games but also remember that seasons are now 12 games instead of 11 and bowl stats didn't count until more recently. That said I believe Green is the most talented WR UGA has ever had. Would have been nice to see what he could have done if the team had a running game the last two years and if he hadn't had to play with 3 different qb's.
