Considered one of the best rivalries in college football, the Miami-FSU game has often had national title implications. During the 80’s and 90’s, Florida State and Miami remained fixtures in the Top 10 and this game often served as an elimination game for the two teams. The games have been noted for a number of tense close games, often ended by missed field goals.
Few words strike fear into the hearts of FSU fans like "Wide Right."
Miami leads the all time series, 30-23. The 2009 game marks the return of the game being played as the season opener. Legendary FSU coach Bobby Bowden is hoping to recapture that Seminole dominance before giving away to Jimbo Fisher, while Randy Shannon hopes year 3 will finally bring The U back into the national spotlight.
Randy Shannon needs to find the next Willis McGahee...fast.
While there are a number of intriguing games in the first week of the season, this is one of the few conference battles that will essentially make or break a season. Plus, who can argue at the chance to see some of those FSU Cowgirls in the 90 degree weather?

I see a flaw in your little scheme already. If you actually get to meet those two hotties, you ain't gonna make to see USC and OSU.
